Borrow the books you're assigned. Share the ones you're done with.
Someone in your class probably already owns the book on your reading list. School Book Share helps you find it, borrow it for free, and pass your old books along to the next reader.

Student questions
Does it cost anything?
No. School Book Share is free for students. You never pay to borrow or list a book.
Do I need an account?
You'll sign in with your school email, so everyone you see is from your own school. School Book Share is for students 13 and older. See how sign-up works.
My younger sibling is in middle school. Can they join?
Not yet. We're starting with high school and college students, and we plan to add middle schools later. A parent can join the list to hear when we do.
What if my school isn't on School Book Share yet?
Find your school and join its list. Then tell your librarian. The more students who sign up, the sooner we launch there.
Will other students see my name?
No. Classmates only see your trust card: your reliability score, how many books you've shared and your badges. Only your school librarian can see who you are.
What if a book I lend gets damaged?
Tell your librarian. They can add a note and follow up, and it affects the borrower's reliability score. You choose who borrows your books, so you can pick classmates with a strong track record.
Can parents sign up?
Yes. Parents can join the list to hear when School Book Share launches at their child's school.
Made for high school and college students
From the summer reading list to the college syllabus, someone in your class probably already has the book.
Parents of middle schoolers: join the list and we'll let you know when we add middle schools.
